Siop Cwlwm
Siop Cwlwm is an independent, family-run Welsh bookshop based in the heart of Oswestry. Established in 2010, we are proud to be the only dedicated Welsh bookshop outside Wales.
We stock a wide range of Welsh-language books for adults, children and learners, alongside Welsh cards, gifts, music and locally inspired products. Our shop welcomes Welsh speakers, learners and anyone with an interest in Welsh language and culture.
As well as our Oswestry shop, we serve customers across the UK and beyond through our online store. We also host regular events, including our popular Siop Siarad conversation sessions for Welsh learners.
Siop Cwlwm is proud to be part of Oswestry’s independent business community, bringing a distinctive Welsh cultural offering to this historic border town.

“Lovely little shop, great to talk to the shopkeeper in Welsh & she was really knowledgeable about the books, resources & local groups. I will definitely be going back!“
