Canva Launches £4,000 Pitching Challenge for Founders

If you are looking for a cash injection and expert support to scale your business, design platform Canva has launched a new pitching competition.

The initiative aims to help smaller brands and freelancers get the funding and visibility they need to take their operations to the next level.

Five businesses will walk away with a £4,000 grant alongside tailored mentorship.

Here is everything you need to know about who can apply, what is up for grabs, and how to get involved before the deadline.

Who can enter?

The challenge is open to founders, freelancers, and creative minds who meet the following criteria:

  • Based in the UK or Ireland.

  • Aged 18 or over.

  • Running, co-running, or representing a side hustle, freelance venture, or small business with 50 employees or fewer.

The Prizes

Canva has structured the challenge so that every single applicant walks away with a practical tool to help their business, alongside tiered rewards for the top entries.

  • The Top 5 Winners: Each receives £4,000 in grant funding, one-to-one mentorship from industry leaders, feature spots across Canva’s marketing channels, and free access to Canva Pro.

  • The Top 100 Entries: Will be officially recognised as part of Canva’s Top 100 Small Businesses, earning an exclusive invitation to a dedicated founder networking event to connect with fellow entrepreneurs.

  • Every Single Entrant: Receives three months of Canva Pro entirely free, a ready-made pitch template, access to practical tools for business storytelling, and entry to exclusive startup and founder educational sessions.
