The Percy Bilton Charity is a major UK grant-making trust that provides capital funding to registered charities supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged groups. For community organisations, funding is awarded specifically towards essential capital items, furnishings, and equipment (excluding standard office items) to improve facilities and services for beneficiaries.
Who May Be Eligible
Applications are accepted exclusively from UK-registered charities whose main charitable purpose is to assist one or more of the following target groups:
People with Disabilities: Children, young people, and adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, or enduring mental health conditions (funding residential, respite care, occupational, and recreational facilities).
Disadvantaged Youth: Young people under the age of 25 facing social, educational, or economic disadvantage.
Older Adults: Individuals aged 60 and over (funding day centres, respite care, and projects helping older adults maintain their independence).
Key Criteria

Grants are for physical capital items and equipment (such as specialist furniture, activity equipment, or facility fit-outs) rather than operational running costs, salaries, or standard office IT.
When the Funding Opens and Closes
Status: Active & Open.
The charity operates a continuous, year-round application process with two grant tiers:
Small Grants (Up to £500): Reviewed and processed on a monthly basis.
Large Grants (Over £500): Considered periodically at regular Board of Trustees meetings held throughout the year.
There are no strict annual closing deadlines; applications can be submitted at any time.
