Supporting Local Impact: The Movement Centre Launches ‘30 for 30’ Campaign to Clear Waiting List
The Movement Centre Launches ‘30 for 30’ Campaign to Clear Waiting List
As part of our commitment to highlighting the incredible organisations that make our region a fantastic place to live, work, and invest, we are sharing an important initiative from one of our valued local charities.
Oswestry-based charity The Movement Centre has officially launched its landmark ‘30 for 30’ campaign. Celebrating 30 years of providing life-changing therapy for children with movement disabilities, the organisation is calling on the regional business community to help them clear their current waiting list.
Right now, 30 children are waiting to begin their journey towards increased physical independence. To enable them to start, the charity needs to raise £45,000 to fund 30 Targeted Training standing frames.
Why the Standing Frame Matters
For a child with restricted mobility, a standing frame is far more than a piece of medical equipment. It is a foundational tool that unlocks core strength, balance, and confidence.
A standing frame allows a child to participate in everyday moments that many take for granted, whether that is standing at a table to play, holding their head up to watch television with family, or taking their very first steps. Early intervention is crucial for long-term physical development, making access to these frames time-critical.
How Your Business Can Take Part
The Movement Centre is looking for 30 businesses, organisations, or teams across the region to pledge to raise or donate £1,500.
Each £1,500 pledge directly covers the cost of one standing frame, immediately taking one child off the waiting list and giving them access to a full 12-month Targeted Training therapy programme.
If your organisation is looking for a meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project or a team fundraising goal for the months ahead, this is an opportunity to make a tangible, measurable impact right here in the local area.
Campaign Summary:
Goal: 30 teams to raise £1,500 each
Impact: Fund 30 standing frames and clear the therapy waiting list
Cost: £1,500 per frame
